'DIGNITY´ AUSTRALIAN TOUR 2008
She's a singer, songwriter, actress, fashion designer, fragrance owner, TV star, teen idol — let's face it, the girl is a sensation! We're talking about Hilary Duff, of course. And in the latest chapter in Hilary's amazing story, she is on her way to Australia in early 2008 as part of the 'Dignity' World tour.
In what is huge news for her massive Australian fan base, Andrew McManus Presents today announces Hilary will perform three concerts in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane from January 31 — February 4 2008. Hilary will perform all her hits including songs from her current 'Dignity' album (EMI) with her eight-piece band and four dancers so fans are in for a real treat! Hilary has just completed a 30-date tour of the US and Canada to great reviews and will be bringing the complete 'Dignity' show and production to Australia. "We've had such a great time doing the US and Canadian shows. I've got a great band as well as four amazing dancers so we have a lot of fun on stage. I know the fans all want to see the hits so we play all of those. Also I've co-written all the songs on the album, so it's been very satisfying to bring them to life on the concert stage. "I have wonderful memories of my last tour to Australia and how incredible all the fans were, so can't wait to be there again!"
The album's brand new single 'Stranger' — undoubtedly one of the stand-out tracks - has just been released by EMI, accompanied by a sensational video. Check it out! 'Dignity' shows a sophisticated singer and songwriter who brings her customary class and panache to a confident collection of cool pop/ dance songs. Having celebrating her 20th birthday in September, Hilary also sports a more mature look. The record´s first single ´With Love´ launched with Hilary´s very first fragrance for Elizabeth Arden "With Love? Hilary Duff ". 'Dignity' follows the smash hits albums 'Metamorphosis', 'Hilary Duff' and 'Most Wanted', which all hit the ARIA Top 10 in Australia and notched up 13 million album sales worldwide. Hilary's concert includes hits like 'So Yesterday', 'Come Clean', 'Fly', 'Wake Up' and 'Beat Of My Heart'. Hilary's meteoric rise to stardom began when she starred in the Disney Channel series "Lizzie Maguire". She went on to star in the hit movie of the same name, followed by "Agent Cody Banks", "Cheaper By The Dozen", "Cinderella Story" and "Material Girls". 'Dignity' is entirely appropriate for this young star. No drunken nightclub incidents for the hard-working Texan native! Besides her movie, music and TV careers, she's also designed her first clothing range stuff by hilary duff to great success. The range is expected to launch in Australia next year.
Currently on a break from the 'Dignity' tour, Hilary is shooting a new movie in New Jersey called "Greta".
Described as a comic drama, the interracial teen romance co-stars Ellen Burstyn, Evan Ross and Michael Murphy. It will be followed by another movie (details to be announced) to round off the year.
But 2008 sees this multi-talented performer back on stage for the Australian "Dignity" concerts and a European tour.
